About the Jaguar Winterguard
The University of South Alabama Winterguard was created to foster positive experiences for all who participate, by promoting education, creativity, and freedom of expression through pageantry and the performing arts. The Â鶹´«Ã½ Winterguard is open to all students at Â鶹´«Ã½ who are members of the Jaguar Marching Band. The members of the Â鶹´«Ã½ Winterguard perform as a visual unit that strives for excellence, education, and entertainment for our audience and members of the team.
Members must be full-time students at Â鶹´«Ã½ to participate in the Winterguard and be a member of the Jaguar Marching Band. The Â鶹´«Ã½ Winterguard technique course rehearses Mondays from 4:00-5:00pm. The competitive Â鶹´«Ã½ Winterguard rehearses Monday and Thursdays from 5:00-8:00PM during the spring semester. All members of the Â鶹´«Ã½ Winterguard must enroll in the appropriate section for the University Winter Guard Course (MUO 131).
