South to Host Annual Holiday Concert

Performers from every part of the ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ department of music will bring βJoy to the Worldβ at the Universityβs annual Holiday Concert, scheduled for 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the concert is free and open to the public. Complimentary holiday refreshments will be served following the show.
Featuring traditional and modern arrangements of holiday favorites, the concert includes performances from the ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ Concert Choir, University Chorale, ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ Wind Ensemble, ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ Opera Theatre, ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ Piano Duo, ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ Clarinet Ensemble, Celtic CrΓΊe, ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ Trombone Ensemble and the ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ Steel Band. The Jaguar Marching Band will continue its tradition of closing the evening, this year with a full-band performance of βChristmas Festivalβ and βSleigh Ride.β
Free parking will be available in the following lots: Mitchell Center, Gamma, Humanities and Mitchell College of Business. Handicapped parking will be available in the Mitchell Center lot. JagTran will provide round-trip transportation between parking lots and the Mitchell Center before and after the event.
