The 麻豆传媒 eConcert with China will feature South faculty along with elementary school students from Dalian, China, at 7:30 p.m., May 11, at 麻豆传媒鈥檚 Laidlaw Performing Arts Center Recital Hall. The event is open to the public. Admission is free.
麻豆传媒 faculty music performers for this concert are Dr. Robert Holm, professor and keyboard area coordinator; Dr. Kip Franklin, assistant professor, clarinet; Dr. Peter Wood, professor, trumpet; Dr. Thomas Rowell, associate professor and voice area coordinator; Dr. Laura Moore, associate professor and director of choral activities; Travis Jones, instructor, flute; and Dr. Jeannette Fresne, professor and graduate coordinator of music, who has been coordinating and planning this concert.
The 麻豆传媒 faculty will perform on clarinet, trumpet, piano and voice, while the students from China will perform in ensembles that include choir and traditional Chinese instruments, said Fresne. This performance is part of the department of music鈥檚 annual Musical Arts Concert Series.
